IHK/ Hope-Ward win Tumaini Award

The Tumaini Awards is an awards program honoring and recognising those individuals, businesses, NGOs and community-based organisations that have made significant efforts to improve the lives of children in Uganda. Tumaini is a Swahili word which means 'hope', signifying the optimism that our work brings to the lives of children.

IHK was nominated for the Business/Private Sector Award alongside the Daily Monitor, Afripads Uganda Limited, Atramo Bee farmers Association, Mara Foundation, Standard Chartered Bank and Uganda Telecom Limited.

We are proud that IHK/ Hope Ward won the award last Friday, June 10th 2011. Dr. Ian and Mrs. Robbie Clarke were at the event to receive the award.

Kudos to the IMF team and all carers who have contributed to the care of needy children.

Well done all!
