You may attend more than one interview for the position, including written, oral or practical interviews and/or a personality/ aptitude test

All candidates are given feedback on the interview, regardless of whether they are successful or not.

3 Orientation
All successful candidates go through a mandatory Orientation Program to acclimatise themselves to working in IMG.

4 Probation
All staff go through a 3-6 month’s probation period to assess their suitability to the role. All staff are supported through this period by managers, the HR department and their co-workers.

5 Work Ethos
We expected all staff to be professional, honest and driven. Co-workers must exhibit our core values of accountability, dignity, commitment, compassion, creating hope, innovation, integrity and investment in the services and people we work with.

We are very committed to these values and are not afraid to lose people who are not aligned to the standards that buttress our excellent services.

6 Performance Reviews and Feedback
IMG is very feedback-driven because we believe that it is only when we are open to feedback that we are empowered to continuously improve the quality of our services and our performance.

Regular feedback is given to staff through appraisals, peer reviews and client surveys. This has helped staff improve their skills, behaviours and attitudes in a structured, deliberate and open manner.

7 Continuous Learning
IMG has been commended by various consultants and staff as a learning organisation. We are able to achieve this culture of learning through encouraging openness and proactive approaches to learning.

Continuing nursing and medical education is achieved through weekly sessions. Opportunities to learning are also accessed through external mechanisms and our internal Learning & Development function.

Through the Continuous Management & Leadership Program, staff are able to grow from junior technical roles to management practice in the organisation. We believe that all of us have the potential to be leaders – our work environment challenges you to be exactly that – a leader in healthcare.

8 Employee Surveys
Annual surveys are conducted with staff to ensure that our management practices are regularly reviewed so as to foster a conducive working environment. “Have Your Say” is the catch-phrase for our surveys in recognition of the fact that employee opinions are valuable and critical to our standards of practice.

9 Leaving
At IMG we value employee feedback even when they are leaving the organization. This is because we are keen to have a feedback loop that enables us to continuously improve our management practices and working conditions and, as such, we conduct exit interviews with all staff who are leaving the organisation.

10 Career Opportunities and Growth
IMG is an environment rich with diverse career paths.

Traditionally rigid career paths e.g. in nursing or medicine; can be diversified to include nursing or clinical management hence giving doctors and nurses a chance to grow as managers and administrators in a health setting.

Growth in the organisation is within reach for all staff who are keen to grow in management practice or other paths. Many of the Directors and Senior Managers were previously junior administrators who were mentored and offered further training to become professional managers in healthcare.
