IMF focuses on accessibility, empowerment, partnerships and influence.

On many of its projects IMF partners with IMG, this relationship ensures that IMF has access to robust facilities and technical input from one of Uganda’s leading healthcare providers. On the other hand IMG has an opportunity to give back to the community through IMF in addition IMG staff are motivated because of the increased exposure to complex medical cases.

IMF teams are mainly medical because they are focused on healthcare projects. All projects have Clinical Officers and Nurses, Counsellors. However because the projects are community based we have Social Workers who engage with communities and provide input on Social issues affecting the health of communities. These teams are complimented by the Community Voluntary Workers who serve as community immobilizers, peer educators and AIDS and TB treatment supporters.

IMF is an NGO that exists to serve the poor and the low income communties. The target population for HIV & AIDS projects are the high risk groups, specifically, boda-boda drivers, CSW, Fisherfolks, youth and married couples. The STI and TB projects are targeted at poor communities within our areas of operation. The physiotherapy service is available for underprivileged patients most of whom have been admitted on Hope Ward and need continued services as outpatients. The Hope Ward is open to needy people with complex medical conditions who would not otherwise access treatment elsewhere.

IMF employs a partnership model with IMG for access to infrastructure as well as senior medical support. This organisation also works closely with local governments and communities to facilitate community development and sustainable health interventions.
