On many of its projects IMF partners with IMG, this relationship ensures that IMF has access to robust facilities and technical input from one of Uganda’s leading healthcare providers. On the other hand IMG has an opportunity to give back to the community through IMF in addition IMG staff are motivated because of the increased exposure to complex medical cases. This allows the organisation to incur minimal administrative and capital costs enabling IMF to channel all funds raised directly to project beneficiaries.

IMF projects employ a model of sustainable community involvement by working with and through community voluntary workers (CVWs) who implement project interventions with support from other strategic partners and the Ministry of Health. IMF is working closely with the District health services in our target areas to train, support and engage the Village Health Teams in implementation of our community health interventions.

This model is illustrated in this diagram.

Although IMF is part of IMG, the finances of IMF are separated from the private business of IMG and ring fenced for specific projects. IMF has sound financial systems that maintain strict accountability and has been audited by Grant Thornton and Delloitte & Touche.
